Garlic is good for heart

Roasted garlic, curry leaves spicy tangy curry | karuvepillai poondu kulambu. 


Health benefits:


Garlic Contains Compounds With Potent Medicinal Properties. Garlic Is Highly Nutritious But Has Very Few Calories. Garlic Can Combat Sickness, Including the Common Cold. The Active Compounds in Garlic Can Reduce Blood Pressure. Garlic  May Lower the Risk of Heart Disease.


Ingredients:


Sesame oil-80 ml,

Mustard seeds-1/2 tbs,

Red chili-3,

Chopped onion-2 cup,

Chopped tomatoes-2 cup,

Ginger ginger paste -2 tbs ,

Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp ,

Kashmiri chili powder-2 tbs,

Coriander powder-3 tbs,

Tamarind-75 g,

Jaggery-20g,

Hong-1/2 tsp,

Garlic-200g,

Curry leaves-2,1/2 cup,

Pepper-1 tbs,

Ghee-1 tbs,

Salt.


Preparation:


1. Fry garlic in oil till it turns golden brown , cool and grind with water .

2. Fry curry leaves, cool and grind with water .

3. Fry pepper, make it powder.

4. Soak Tamarind in hot water and filter paste extract . 


Heat the garlic fried oil ,  add mustard seeds let it flutter then add red chili , onion. Sauté it till onion turns brown. 

Add ginger garlic paste ,chopped tomatoes cook till mashed consistently. 

Put Turmeric powder, Kashmiri chili powder, Coriander powder cook with required water . 

Add tamarind paste , jaggery cook for 8 mins . In between add Hing powder. 

And pour garlic paste, curry paste cook in low flame for 4 mins .

Finally add pepper powder and ghee on top . 


Serve hot with rice , idly .. dosai..


Optional: can also use ghee for garlic and curry leaves fry . 


Can store in fridge for 10 days .. reheat and serve hot .
